We’re OtherEighty, an AI-native team built to give business owners back the
time and attention their best work deserves. We take care of the calls, follow-ups, invoices, and everyday work around the work. We believe technology should make people feel cared for, and software should be relational, not transactional.
We started OtherEighty out of our own frustration. We were good at the work. Then the other eighty percent found us. The phone, the follow-up, the invoices, the reviews, the posts. All of it had to be done. None of it was the reason we started.
It wasn't the hours that bothered us. It was the energy. The best part of ourselves was going to the part of the business that didn't actually need us. The twenty percent that excited us and produced the most always took a back seat to the administrative work that drained us.
We believe in less, but better. Fewer things, done with full attention. So we built the team we wished we'd had: one that takes the other eighty percent off your plate without taking the care out of it, and gives you back the part of your business only you can do. We're AI-native, built on it from the first line of code, because we believe technology should make people feel more cared for, not less.
What we
care about.
We wrestle with these more than we agree about them. What survives the argument decides the next thing we build, the way we answer the phone, and the work we turn down.
- 01
Purpose comes first
Every owner we meet is proud of the work and worn down by everything stacked around it. The phone rings at dinner. The real work waits. Your highest purpose is a narrow one, and most days the urgent crowds it out. We build so you can breathe again. More time on the work only you can do. More evenings at the table with the people you're doing it all for. That's what drives us.
- 02
Good enough is not good enough
Nothing is accidentally excellent. Every rushed thing was somebody deciding, usually at five on a Friday, that this one does not count. We try to catch that moment and decide the other way. The details are where customers feel it, including the parts nobody sees. We say no more often than yes, and we would rather say not yet than ship a shrug.
- 03
Consistency is the whole job
Any owner can nail the first call. The one that keeps you up is the hundredth, taken at the second location by a crew you have never met. Your way of working has to hold when you are nowhere near the room. Consistency is a thousand small calls, and we sweat every one.
- 04
Zero soul is a bug
You have had this call: the voice is perfect, and somehow you know within two sentences that nobody is home. We would rather be a little less polished and actually warm, say plainly what we are when it matters, and keep a real person reachable on every channel. Nobody wants to feel processed.
- 05
Nothing moves until you say so
Judgment is the part of your business we are not trying to replace. You know which customer gets the benefit of the doubt and which invoice can wait a week. So nothing sends, spends, or publishes until you say so. Our work is making that call obvious at a glance.
From the
founder.
For nearly two decades I've designed and built products for incredible companies, used by millions of people around the world. That work has shaped how I see everything: meaningful design and worthwhile technology make people's lives better in ways they can feel.
Running my own business, I learned how easily the essential gets crowded out by the urgent. The phone rings and the real work waits. I've come to believe an owner's highest purpose is a narrow one, and most days it never gets full attention. Giving it back to them is what I care about most.
AI tools are everywhere now, and most of them leave a gap. They're built for the task, not the person on the other end. People feel processed. We want to build the bridge between AI and the humans it's supposed to serve: a team that sounds like you, answers like it cares, remembers like it was there, and asks before it acts. An extension of your voice, not a replacement for it.
That's what we're building, with the same care I'd want pointed at my own customers. I'd love to share it with you.
