Affiliate Program Terms

1. Eligibility

   You must be 18 or older and legally able to receive payment in your country. You may not refer a business you own, control, or are an officer or employee of. Current OtherEighty customers may refer other businesses but not themselves.

2. What qualifies as a referral

   A business that is new to OtherEighty and was not already an active opportunity with us at the time you referred them. If a business is already in conversation with us, that referral does not qualify. Where two affiliates refer the same business, the first recorded referral is the one that counts.

3. How referrals are tracked

   You receive a personal link and code. When someone arrives through your link, we record your code against their enquiry and keep it attached through the audit and sales process to the point they become a customer. Because our sale is consultative and can take weeks, attribution is held on the enquiry record and does not depend on a browser cookie surviving.

4. What you earn

   10% of the base monthly subscription the referred business pays, for each month they pay it. Commission is calculated on the base plan only. It specifically excludes usage overage, fixed-price projects such as Design Sprints and MVP Builds, taxes, and any discount, credit or refund applied to the invoice.

   If the business moves to a different size, your commission follows the new base plan from the first invoice at that size.

5. How long it lasts

   You earn commission for as long as the referred business remains a paying customer. There is no cap and no expiry date. Commission stops when they stop being a customer, and resumes only if they return and are again attributed to you.

6. When and how you are paid

   A commission becomes payable 30 days after the customer's payment has cleared. Payable commissions are paid monthly in a single batch on a fixed day. Your first payout is held for 60 days rather than 30; every payout after that follows the standard 30 days.

   Payouts are made through Stripe. You must complete Stripe's payout onboarding, which collects your identity and bank details directly — we never hold them. If you are a US taxpayer, Stripe will collect a W-9 and issue a 1099 where your earnings reach the reporting threshold. You are responsible for any tax on what you earn.

   We do not pay out balances under $50; they roll forward to the next month until the balance clears that amount.

7. Refunds, disputes and clawbacks

   If a payment that generated commission is later refunded, charged back or otherwise reversed, the corresponding commission is reversed and netted against your future commissions. If you have no future commissions to net it against, we absorb it. We will not ask you to send money back.

8. How you may promote us

   You may share your link directly, write about us, and introduce businesses you genuinely believe are a fit.

   You may not: bid on "OtherEighty" or close variants in paid search; send unsolicited bulk email or SMS; post your link to coupon, deal or cashback sites; imply you are employed by or speaking for OtherEighty; make claims about results, pricing or capabilities that we have not published; or use our name in a domain, social handle or app listing.

9. Changes to the program

   We may change these terms or the commission rate. A change to the rate applies only to referrals made after the change takes effect — commission already running on an existing referred customer continues at the rate it started at. We will give you notice of material changes by email.

10. Ending the arrangement

    Either of us may end your participation at any time, for any reason, with notice. If you leave or we end it without cause, commission already earned and payable is still paid out. If we end it because of fraud, abuse, or a breach of the promotion rules above, unpaid commission may be withheld.

11. Relationship between us

    This is an independent arrangement. It does not create employment, agency, partnership or a joint venture, and it does not give you authority to enter agreements, quote prices, or make commitments on our behalf.

12. Confidentiality and data

    Information you learn about our customers, pricing beyond what is published, or our operations stays confidential. You may not contact a referred business on our behalf or represent yourself as handling their account.
